How to Visit or Volunteer
Thank you for looking into our club. We would love to host you at one of our meetings or events! Take a look at our Upcoming Meetings and Events and Contact US to let us know you'll be visiting or volunteering. We can't wait to meet you!

What is Rotary?
Rotary is an international service organization. It's more than 1 million men and women, ages 18+, who are members of 36,000 clubs in 200 countries around the world. We are working together to create lasting impact in our communities and in the world.

Hawaii Rotary began in 1915 in Honolulu. Today, the state of Hawaii has 1,400 Rotarians and 49 clubs -- 9 of which are on Maui. All of the Hawaii Rotary clubs carry out projects individually and also collaborate to create even greater impact.

Why I Joined Rotary
I moved to Maui in 2024 from Denver, Colorado. Hawaii is my birthplace and I finally returned to the islands to live the way my heart called for. I was seeking friendships, business networking, and ways to become a real part of the Kihei and Maui community...so I visited the Kihei-Wailea Rotary Club. It was pretty instant for me. I fell in love with the people, the projects, and the community they had created. It just felt like "family." I joined in December of 2024.

In the last year, our club:
  • Planted trees (many times), peace poles, and plants
  • Volunteered at furniture and household item giveaway events
  • Helped with e-cycling
  • Provided school supplies and dictionariescoached first graders on reading, and established a new Interact Club
  • Maintained Rescue Tubes and refilled sunscreen dispensers
  • Did fundraising at the Maui Ocean Marathon and the Maui County Fair
  • Met with the public at a World Peace Day event and at Kihei 4th Friday
  • Handed out goodies to 2,000 keiki at Halloween
  • Gift-wrapped at Hale Kau Kau and provided keiki gifts at Hale O La'ie
  • Raised funds for the Rotary Foundation and Polio Plus
  • Hosted excellent speakers all year, had Pau Hana Picnics and multiple Rotary On the Road trips
  • And we launched a new club -- The Maluhia Maui Rotary Club!

More events are already planned for this year. Join us as a guest at a meeting or event and discover your Rotary "Why." You'll have the opportunity to change your community ... and it just might change you in the process!

We look forward to meeting you!

Mahalo,
Kim Hightower
